These moments are fleeting, and every stage
deserves to be remembered.
Whether you're planning your maternity session, preparing to welcome your newborn, or already looking ahead to your baby's milestone session, this guide is here to help make the entire experience feel relaxed, meaningful, and beautifully uncomplicated.

MATERNITY
This season deserves to be celebrated.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
The sweet spot for maternity sessions is typically between 28–34 weeks. During this time your baby bump is beautifully defined, while you're usually still comfortable enough to move around and truly enjoy the experience. If you're expecting multiples or have a high-risk pregnancy, we may choose to schedule a little earlier.
The most important thing is that your session reflects you. Whether you envision a quiet evening in nature, the simplicity of my studio, or documenting this chapter in your own home, we'll create something that feels authentic to your growing family.

NEWBORN
You don't have to figure this out alone.
Your only job is to soak it all in.
How does scheduling work?
One of the biggest questions parents ask is:
"How do we schedule if we don't know when baby will arrive?"
The answer is simple.
We reserve your due date now.
Once baby arrives, simply send me a quick email within the first day or two, and we'll choose the perfect session date together.
Most newborns are photographed during the first two weeks, but every baby and every birth story... is different. We'll find the timing that works best for your family.

Studio or In-Home?
Both create beautiful memories.
Studio
Warm.
Minimal.
Light-filled.
Everything is ready when you arrive.
In-Home
Relaxed.
Personal.
Your baby's first home.
Nursery details.
Everyday moments.
Neither is better.
They're simply different experiences.

Preparing for Your Session
Don't stress.
Feed baby shortly before we begin if possible.
Bring anything meaningful you'd love included.
Trust the process.
There is absolutely no expectation for baby to sleep the entire session.
We'll move completely at baby's pace.
Feeding.
Changing.
Cuddling.
Snuggling.
That's all part of your story.
Parents & Siblings
Parents are always encouraged to be in the photographs.
You don't have to feel "camera ready."
Years from now, these images will matter so much more than whether you felt rested that day.
Siblings are always welcome.
We'll begin with family photographs before giving older children a chance to relax while we focus on baby.
MILESTONE SESSIONS
The first year goes by faster than anyone warns you.
One of my favorite gifts included with your Full Newborn Session is your complimentary milestone session.
It allows us to continue documenting your baby's incredible first year.
When should we schedule?
Every baby develops differently, but these are some favorite stages.
6–8 Months
Independent sitting.
Giggles.
Curiosity.
Tiny toes.
This is often my favorite milestone.
One Year
Standing.
Walking.
Cake.
Birthday celebrations.
The perfect way to celebrate an incredible first year.

FAQ
What if baby comes early?
No worries!
Simply let me know once baby arrives and we'll adjust everything accordingly.

Can siblings be included?
Absolutely.
Some of my favorite images are the quiet interactions between new brothers and sisters.

What if my baby cries the whole time?

That's completely normal.
I've photographed hundreds of newborns and sessions are always baby-led. There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and comforting.

What if my baby is older than two weeks?
That's perfectly okay.
Beautiful newborn photographs can be created beyond the traditional 2-6 week window up to 2 months. Every baby has their own story and timeline. Preemies go by original due date not birth date a lot of times. Totally up to you!

I can't wait to tell your family's story.
